Ben & Amy’s Wedding at Blackstock Estate

Earlier this year in July we had the pleasure of working alongside Ben and Amy to help them plan and execute their wedding at Blackstock Estate. Working with the couple was a delight and we loved every moment of their day.

Their wonderful day

Ben & Amy’s day was most definitely a success. The couple enjoyed a magical day from beginning to end. We really loved their decision when it came to the number of guests present throughout the day. They opted for a smaller group of only 30 day guests; it allowed for a really intimate atmosphere to be created. They later decided that they would invite a further 60 evening guests to really get the party going!

The couple had exclusive access to our Tudor Barn which worked very well for them.

Amy’s Bridal Room

Amy arrived at 9.00 and opted to take full advantage of our very special on-site bridal room. This kickstarts the day off in the best way possible. The bride, mums, bridesmaids, as well as any other chosen guests can have their hair and makeup done here if required. Being on-site also means you can change and relax once you are ready, as you don’t need to travel anywhere. Using our fabulous bridal room allows everyone to get ready together and really boosts the excitement.

After getting ready at our flint cottage, Ben arrived at the Tudor Barn.

Their Ceremony

The couple’s day guests arrived at 13.30 for a 14.00 ceremony. This half-hour allowed for everyone to be settled and take advantage of our fully stocked bar.

The ceremony took place in the wing of our Tudor Barn. All the guests were invited inside and took their seats. Everyone looked stunning. Amy looked gorgeous in her pure white bridal gown; he detailing on her perfect dress was beautiful. Ben attired his Police No1 Dress Uniform which fitted him wonderfully and looked incredibly impressive.

Our Tudor Barn looked brilliant on the day. There were charming fairy lights wrapping around the rustic support beams and pink accents on our Chiavari chairs. Their ceremony had an atmosphere of romantic grace, what more could you want?

Post Ceremony

After the ceremony, all the guests were offered a selection of canapes whilst the newly wedded bride and groom took some time out for a photo shoot with their wedding photographer Mira from Ebourne Images

Not only were some amazing photos taken but it also gave Amy & Ben the opportunity to spend some time alone. We think of this as being some of the most precious moments on your wedding day. Your whole day will feel like a dream, therefore, the value of getting the chance to slip away from the crowd and spend some time together should not be overlooked.

The Menu

Everyone was seated for the wedding breakfast. Lewis, the couple’s best friend, announced Mr & Mrs Carslake into the room for the first time. The couple were met with a wave of applause and cheers. The happy couple did an excellent job of deciding on a menu that looked and tasted great; all thoroughly enjoyed it!

Evening Celebrations

Once everyone had finished their meals everyone wandered back to The Tudor Barn to start the evening celebrations. At this point, the couple’s 60 evening guests arrived to really kick things off. They were present to view the bride and groom cut their cake and follow that up with their first dance. This is always a tear-jerking and emotional moment that remains in the minds and hearts of everyone present.

When things finally came to a close, the newlyweds made the short walk to the Goat Shed, their luxury accommodation for the night. The small cottage gave Ben and Amy some time to live in the moment and properly digest what happened during the day, as a newly married couple. All our on-site accommodation was booked for friends and family, making the journey back to their beds as easy as possible.
